Chapter 1

With summer practically here and Fall fast approaching, thoughts of school dance around in my head. wardrobes, activities, studies, && socializing...

all of this anticipating has reverted me back to the highschool daze,
the time when coolkids and nerds roamed the halls, when you were coordinating with your friends on what you were going to wear to the football game.
Way back when. A time you might remember just as recently as last summer [shout out class of 07]

but im not refering to then.
im speaking on the early/mid 90's. When id spend the days and nights with my old cousins[their highschool/college daze]. traveling to their football games, to their events && social gatherings. back when girls were rocking dookie braids and boys had those stonewashed jeans and chucks...

Hearing all the talk about HBCU's for the first time and all that they had to offer. All of the prestige. "Man i wanna go to a abcu" that was me. not really understanding at that time what Historically Black College/University education was all about. But loving all the benefits i reaped from it...family and friends so many years my senior.

wrapping up this one chapter in my life, and preparing [with full force] to begin this other one. i leave you with one of my favorite songs/clips from on of my all time favorite movies. Top of the list indeed

the one week is almost up

[you can call me .rhayne && im your superhero]

fashion connoisseur but artist should be at the top of the list of label you so blindly place on me. Building and maintaining an empire is a daily job. A job you may or may not be familiar with, tips concerns or suggestions hit me here.

Like a few ppl that i can count on one hand i have placed a time limit on my own personal success, you'll never know what that stretch of time is but believe me I will not be tardy. If you see me up on AIM/YIM at about 03:08am or pm it is because you'll never catch me sleeping[so say hello]. Sleep is the enemy and so is eating...lol

flipping through magazines && being glued to CNN [among other things] are all apart of my favorite pastime-life. Georgia is my current playground && every day me and a select few get down and dirty.


Currently: Atlanta Gerogia features me the most && may i say that life is good, swell even. As you may have recognized in the posts prior to this one: good friends, flashing lights, and a drive for success.

THE LOST EPISODE: Power Rangers- TRILOGY

okay one of my favorite past times as a kid was the
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers...
power rangers are cool. smh. i had the toys, the moveies,
the blanket, the halloween costume. lol if you're a real 80's baby you were
in some way affected by the Power Rangers...

this is so weird that i know this but, alot of ppl dont know that Power Rangers, as they appeared in America, were not the original power rangers. the Original were a team of asian ninjas entitled GO Rangers over in China i believe [dont quote the location]... so in my randome spare time this morning i found this very funny video

last night PMqn attended Projec X's finale show
at Puritan Mills. lots of excitement and movement.
there' wouldve been more pics from that night had i not have
been running around all night like a chicken with its head cut off
nonetheless, believe me when i say it was something to see...

This weekend Professional Mannequin celebrated one of its good friend, and loyal readers, Birthday. Sam Chong celebrated her birthday all weekend capped off by wining and dinning at one of Professional Mannequin's favorite restaurant && meeting spots PF Changs located in the high end district of Dunwoody. So if you missed the celebration you can view a few of the photos below.

often times we forget

often times we do forget,
but let's try our best not to.
we owe it to ourselves to take a step back
and re examine the things we do and
the things we say on a day to day basis.
EX:

Listening to and then watching this video gave way to so many past emotions of being a black person, of being a black male. of forever having to be and stay conscious of my skin color not just when around my white counterparts but my lighterskinned "black" peers and counterparts as well. Angry is what i felt many a day. Confusion on why a world would praise this ignorance that we as "black ppl" perperurate on a daily basis. Why did i feel so out of touch because i was never one to re inforce a steriotype...

Now this video below was posted second so as not to take away from his use of the word nigger, for the sake of the spoken word it is not so much as a noun as it is a description of something that we've become to comfortable with, explained by the above video.

Leon and i headed down to Walker street
this past Sunday. For what you ask, to be scene.
we attended the Art Nouveau Magazine's intimate concert
"Scene Kids" it was...it was. i enjoyed myself. We got a few laughs in. Found me a new cd to play while studying around the house. We met a few nice folks among those were the Editors of Art Nouveau Magazine. :)

The entertainment: Yelawolf, Mach5 & Muffy...
When i tell you it was entertaining you'd better believe me.

Let me check my Itinerary

Ok so there's been say so on my where abouts for the next couple of years and what not and some inquiries. I've either been leading some on you on or you've been dabbling too much in my life. One way or another...I still have the last hear ye hear ye!

With that being said, I've created you an official draft of my own itinerary! Aren't you so so lucky? Ahem and it goes a little something like this:

Spring 2009 (or before...depends on when the "Mecca" wants me!)
I will be living and resting in Washington D.C.!-
How long? Bitch I don't know...I'd like to spend my last "schooling" years and an additional few to see if I'd want to adapt there for good.


And that's IT!...shit. Of course it's other places I'd like to spill into but I can only list the definite one for now. My future is a mystery like whether or not OJ killed Nicole. Live with it...while I live with me. And do not worry about Fruit Materials unless you are donating or contributing your dollars.

Well my long time running career venture
of styling and personal shopping took
an exciting turn this past weekend. Adding to all of
the events and projects PMqn have been wrapped up in
I was fortunate enough to work with SONY MUSIC on a photoshoot this past weekend

it was really cool. fun and all that.
the people were really nice. met a few models,
fellow stylist, a photographer, some makeup artist and
hairstylist. it was a very good look.
